We’re excited to introduce a new service to Pro Health patients – peptides! Peptides support your biology, working with you instead of against you. While they are naturally occurring in your body, sometimes they need an extra boost, which is where Pro Health comes in. Learn more about one of these offerings, the Body Repair Peptide, below.
What is the Body Repair Peptide?
Pro Health’s Body Repair Peptide, also known as BPC-157, is a naturally occurring peptide that supports your body’s repair process. It aids stressed and/or injured tissue like muscles, tendons, ligaments and joints, in recovering faster and more efficiently by boosting your body’s natural repair signals. Think of it like this. You’re not just putting a patch on your body and hoping it gets better – you’re rebuilding the structure of damaged tissue faster and stronger than before.
What are the benefits of the Body Repair Peptide?
In addition to supporting tissue repair mentioned above, the Body Repair Peptide can reduce inflammation and support gut lining repair. This treatment can be particularly supportive after injuries, strains or procedures, and it can be used to speed up healing after treatments. You can experience improvements within 2-4 weeks of peptide therapy, but deeper benefits can be noticed after 8-13 weeks.
While every person is different, patients taking the Body Repair Peptide might experience less joint or tendon discomfort, faster recovery after workouts or injury, reduced inflammation, better mobility and improved digestive comfort. Those that may benefit most from this treatment include active adults or athletes, people with chronic joint or tendon issues, individuals healing from injury and people with digestive irritation.
How is the Body Repair Peptide administered?
The Body Repair Peptide is quick and easy to administer, and the best part is you can do it yourself at home. After an initial consultation, one of our nurse practitioners will teach you how to safely and comfortably administer the injection. You will give yourself the shots for five consecutive days with two days off. We recommend following this schedule for three months and then taking four weeks off before starting another cycle. This method prevents overstimulation and maintains long-term effectiveness.
