Walking into a new clinic when you’re not feeling well adds stress to an already difficult situation. You’re dealing with fatigue, low energy, or other symptoms that brought you here, and now you have to navigate an unfamiliar process.
Here’s what happens during your first wellness appointment at Pro Health so you know what to expect before you arrive.
Booking Your Appointment
Call any of our Memphis-area locations or book online. If you’re unsure which service addresses your concerns, calling works better. Our staff can ask a few questions about what you’re experiencing and recommend the right starting point.
When booking your first IV therapy visit or hormone therapy consultation, you’ll provide your name, contact information, and a brief description of what brought you in. Most locations accept walk-ins, but scheduling guarantees you’ll be seen at a specific time.
Write down your current medications, supplements, and any known allergies before you come in. This saves time and ensures we have accurate information for safe treatment.
Checking In
Arrive a few minutes early to complete your intake paperwork. The form covers your medical history, current medications, and what symptoms you’re dealing with. It takes about 10 minutes.
Our locations are designed to feel comfortable rather than clinical. You won’t sit in a crowded waiting room for an hour. Most people are called back within 15 minutes.
The Consultation
A nurse practitioner will review your intake form and ask questions about your symptoms. This conversation helps us understand what’s going on and ensures the treatment we recommend is safe and appropriate for you.
For IV therapy, we need to know what you’re experiencing, how long it’s been going on, and whether you have any history of reactions to IVs or specific medications. If you’re recovering from illness, dehydrated from travel, or dealing with chronic fatigue, we’ll tailor the IV formula to address those specific needs.
For hormone therapy consultations, the discussion goes deeper. We’ll ask about the symptoms that made you consider testing, how they’ve affected your daily life, your overall health history, and what you’ve already tried. If you’re frustrated because nothing has helped so far, that’s useful information.
This is also your time to ask questions. If you’re skeptical about whether treatment will help, tell us. If you don’t understand something, ask for clarification. We’d rather address concerns upfront than have you leave uncertain.
During Treatment
For IV therapy, you’ll sit in a comfortable chair while we place the IV line. Most people barely feel it go in. The treatment takes 30-45 minutes while the fluids run. You can read, use your phone, or rest.
Some people feel better immediately during treatment. Others notice improvement over the next few hours. We’ll explain what to expect based on what we’re treating.
For hormone consultations, we’ll do blood work either during your visit or schedule it for another time depending on what testing you need. Results typically come back within a few days, and we’ll schedule a follow-up to review them and discuss next steps.
After Your Visit
You can return to normal activities immediately after IV therapy. There’s no recovery period or restrictions.
If you had blood work for hormone testing, we’ll contact you once results are ready to schedule a follow-up appointment. During that visit, we’ll explain what your levels show and whether treatment makes sense for your situation.
What You Should Know
We’re not trying to sell you services you don’t need. If your symptoms don’t align with what IV therapy or hormone treatment addresses, we’ll tell you that and suggest other options.
Some people need one visit. Others benefit from regular treatments. We’ll recommend a plan based on your specific situation, but you decide what works for your life and budget.
Schedule your first wellness appointment at any of our Memphis-area locations. Come in when you’re ready to address what’s been affecting your energy, health, and quality of life.
